Home Battery Storage for Noosa & Sunshine Coast Homes

Store your solar energy. Use it on your terms.

Store your solar energy, cut your power bills, and protect your home from blackouts. Noosa Solar installs FranklinWH, Sungrow, Goodwe and other premium battery systems for homeowners across Noosa, Noosaville, Cooroy, Tewantin, Peregian Beach and the wider Sunshine Coast.

How a home battery works

Your solar panels generate energy during the day — often more than your home uses. Without a battery, that excess energy gets exported to the grid for a low feed-in rate (typically 5–10¢ per kWh). With a battery, you store it instead and use it at night, during peak tariff periods, or when the grid goes down — replacing power you'd otherwise buy back at 28–35¢ per kWh. That difference is where the savings come from.

Is a battery right for you?

A battery makes the most sense if you:

  • Pay high evening electricity tariffs
  • Want protection from blackouts and outages
  • Work from home or have significant night-time energy use
  • Already have solar and want to maximise self-consumption
  • Want energy independence from the grid

How much does a home battery cost in Noosa?

Battery system costs on the Sunshine Coast typically range from $6,000 to $14,000 installed, depending on capacity and whether you need a new inverter or switchboard upgrade. Before the federal rebate, a Goodwe 8.3 kWh system installed by Noosa Solar is typically priced around $7,500–$9,000. A FranklinWH 15 kWh whole-home system runs $12,000–$15,000 before rebate.

After the 2026 Cheaper Home Batteries rebate (which Noosa Solar applies directly to your invoice), most Sunshine Coast homeowners save $2,000–$4,500 on installation cost.
